Henry – Better Than Champions League

Grinning like a proud father, Arsene Wenger claimed the resigning of Thierry Henry was better than winning the Champions League.

Le Boss said he had two aims at the begining of the week, one, to win the Champions League and two, to secure the signing of Thierry Henry. Well one out of two wasn’t bad, and the gaffer believes the one we got was the best of the two. And I’m with him.

To be crowned Champions of Europe would have been amazing, it would have been one of the greastest nights in my football supporting life, but if that title would have signalled the end of King Henry’s Arsenal reign, then we would have been much worse off for it.

We have been acussed of being a one man team, which to me is crazy, every team has their main man, the player they look to in times of need, Henry is that player for us. However, his signiture does not only signify another four years of amazing football from the Frenchman, but also a window of opportunity to lure some of the cream of world football to Ashburton Grove. We will be playing in one of the most amazing arena’s in club football, with some amazing players both young and old and with Henry as captain, there is nothing we can’t achieve.

So, while winning the Champions League is still only a dream, the best player in the world commiting himself to the Gunners is not.

Arsenal through and through.
