Arsenal`s latest signing, Danny Welbeck, has yet to find the back of the net for the Gunners despite getting in some great positions to do so, and the manager has urged patience for the striker.

Arsenal fans have been known to get on the backs of some players from time to time, and whilst Welbeck has been subjected to (m)any groans and moans as yet, you get the sense that if he doesn`t put one of these glorious scoring opportunities away soon it won`t be long before the knives are out.

However Arsene Wenger has taken a pre-emptive strike and urged the fans to be patient.

“He will [finish], I don’t think we have to make a problem with that. He had a very lively first half and he couldn’t finish from his two or three good chances in the first half. We have to be patient [with him].”

Remember that Dennis Bergkamp & Thierry Henry both took 7 and 8 games respectively to find the onion bag for the Gunners.
