Following last night’s 6-1 demolition of Coventry at Ashburton Grove, the draw for the 4th Round of the League Cup was made. Arsenal were the last team out of the hat with a short trip to Berkshire in wait.

The teams have twice met in the League Cup in the past, both times at Highbury. In October 1967 Peter Simpson’s goal was enough to give the Gunners a 1-0 3rd Round victory. Whilst in November 2005, goals from van Persie, Reyes and Arturo Lupoli saw Arsenal run out comfortable 3-0 winners in the 4th round.

The match will be played at the Madejski Stadium in the week commencing 29th October, 2012.
