Manchester United fans all over the world were celebrating the last-gasp debut goal from 17 year-old Italian striker Federico Macheda on Sunday. The Red Devils were ten minutes away from a third consecutive defeat until Cristiano Ronaldo and United`s new teen sensation turned the match with Aston Villa on its head. As we all know United are renowned for having fans from all over Britain but this result means they just may have gained a new one from Hertfordshire who is in fact a die-hard Arsenal season ticket holder!

Mr Ian Harris from Borehamwood won a whopping £33,530 on Footy 15 last weekend after predicting all 15 correct results. He needed United to beat Aston Villa to win a share of the guaranteed weekly £100,000 jackpot which looked extremely unlikely with just 10 minutes remaining and Villa 2-1 ahead. However, Ronaldo`s equaliser put the Gunners fan back in with a chance of big money and thanks to debutant Macheda`s incredible strike Ian was over £33k richer!

Mr Harris had this to say, “When the results came through and I realised I had won, I couldn`t believe it. I had no idea of the amount so didn`t mention it to my wife till it had all been confirmed. I can`t wait to tell her we have won £33,530 she will be delighted & having a 15-month old baby this will come in very handy”.

“I am a Football fan and hold a season ticket for Arsenal. I made my predictions for the games through intuition and for the Championship games I went for all draws. My friends have nicknamed me “the draw specialist”. I never thought I would say this but having scored in the last minute, I am now a fan of Manchester United”.

This huge win comes on the back of a huge winning week for The New Football Pools as over £160,000 was paid out over the weekend across both Premier 10 games.and Footy 15 games.
