Game Over

Our title challenge came to abrupt end today as Arsenal fell 2-1 away at Stamford Bridge.

Despite taking the lead, Chelsea clawed back to take the spoils and effectively put an end to any hopes of regaining the PL title (cheers lino!!).

The Gunners would need a small miracle for them to be crowned champions and I just don’t see that happening.

However, don’t be downbeat, we may be out of the title race, but the boys have done us proud. No doubt over the next few days our site will be full to the brim of extreme witless twats telling us that the wheels have come off and that we are starting to crumble, but if everyone is to be believed ….. we didn’t have any wheels in the first place.

Look upon this season not as another time the Gunners had it in their grasp and threw it away, but that we may use it as a stepping stone to bigger and brighter things. After all, weren’t we supposed to finish outside the top four this season?

I bet if anyone told us that with 8 games to go we would still have been fighting for the title and in the quarter finals of the Champions League having dispatched AC Milan with a 2-0 victory at the San Siro we’d have laughed our bollocks off. After all, there are 89 other teams in England who would kill to be in our position.

So don’t feel down Gooners, feel proud, proud that we are on the rocky road back to the pinnacle of English football, and with a couple of shrewd signings in the summers, we can go at it again next season.

Plus we’ve still got the Champions League to fight for 😉
