Fabregas is not for sale.

That is the message coming from Arsene Wengers office.

Under no circumstances will we be listening to any offers for the player, no matter how ludicrous they are.

Le boss believes Cesc is the future, and is not willing to jepordise all his hard work just for the prospect of a ‘few quid’.

“I would like to make it clear that Cesc Fabregas is not for sale and we will not be listening to any offers for him,” he said.

“Since making his first-team debut nearly three years ago, Cesc has progressed remarkably well, with his performances rightfully earning him a place in the Spain World Cup squad.

“At 19 years old, Cesc represents the future of Arsenal Football Club and we are looking forward to him being a major part of our plans for many years to come.”

Real Madrid’s new president insisted he would take Fabregas to the Bernabeau, but how many of us actually believed him.

I certainly didn’t.

  • thank god arsene wenger has finally spoken regarding this topic i am feeling relieved. fabregas is quality and WILL be at arsenal next season that is a huge boost for us

  • Just a thought. What would people say if we bought Ribery, Appiah and Toure for the midfield, and then Real Madrid came in and offered Baptista and cash for Fabregas, would you take it? Would Wenger go back and ask for Baptista and Robinho in exchange for Fabregas? Would this represent a great deal? I am not in favour of selling Fabregas, I think he is a great player already and a key in the Arsenal engine room, but Arsenal did put in bids for both Baptista and Robinho, and I like many others saw the quality of Robinho at the world cup. Arsenal have all the bargaining power with this kind of deal, so why not go in with a crazy counter offer like this? Good to hear your thoughts…

  • I think it would be a terrible idea. Cesc is priceless, unless someone offered in the region of 70million, then I’d tell to p*ss off. There isn’t another player of Cesc’s age with the ability & propects of him, he is likely to become one of the best midfielders the world has ever seen. Never, ever sell him.

  • Not For Sale – too ******* right. When will Madrid get the message? Not for a long while I suspect… oh well, you can’t blame them for trying!

  • Fabregas, walcott, toure, eboue, rosicky, lupoli, van perise, reyes, clichy, flamini, adebayor, i think we have a great set of young players for the future!!
    Not forgetting pascal cygan!!!

  • Cesc is a great player to hold on to. He’s only just starting to show his potential I feel. Wish he’d grow the mullet back though, that was class

  • Cesc has unbelievable ability.I am delighted that he will be with us.However,I would love to see him as an attacking midfielder in the n.10 role.He also has an incredible dribbling ability that is yet evident due to the way he is told to play for Arsenal and Spain. As he gets older he will play mre advanced and his true potential will be unleashed. He also has a wicked right-foot shot that he’d been using with more regularity towards the end of the season. He has oceans of potential.

  • I think that no10 role we go to rosicky but i would like to see cesc more attacking, he has the ability to pick out a pass like dennis.

  • Rosicky has been brought in as a winger – Wenger said he’s a direct replacement for Pires. I’m still intrigued to see what the preferred line up will be… hopefully not Adebayor.

  • i was never worried in the first place… there’s a rumour that fabregas asked arsene to say this to end the matter… even so, its unlikely the liars will stop lying…

  • Baptista and Robinho for Cesc is not a good deal. In a few years, this team will be built around him, as even now it is built around the Henry-Cesc axis. And if I were to pick one player to base the team for the next 10 years, it would be Fabregas.

  • yes rosicky is been issued with number 7 now so he probly will be a winger, and if we buy saviola he could fill the number 10 role i think
