We awake this morning to find that it wasn`t a dream, we did actually sign Alexis Sanchez as Arsene Wenger continues to try an assemble a squad capable of winning the title.

Gooners all over the world have been Tweeting, Facebooking, MySpacing (Is that still a thing?) their delight at this latest transfer, everyone is delighted.

It`s not just the fans though, the manager, Sanchez himself and the forward`s new team mates have all been having their say on the Arsenal new boy.

Arsene Wenger was particularly pleased with his purchase.

“As many people have seen during the World Cup this summer, Alexis is a fantastic footballer and we are delighted that he is joining us at Arsenal Football Club.” The gaffer said on Arsenal.com

“Alexis will add power, creativity and much quality to our squad and we are all looking forward to him joining up with us in a few weeks. He has consistently produced top-quality performances at the highest level for a number of seasons now and we are all excited to see him integrate into the Arsenal squad. I`m sure all Arsenal supporters will join me in welcoming Alexis to our club.”

Arsenal players took to social media to welcome Sanchez to North London.

Rambo simply Tweeted “YES!! Top signing!!”

Whilst Theo Walcott expressed his delight at getting the chance to link up with the Chilean forward. “What a Signing!!!!! Can not wait and looking forward to playing with Alexis Sanchez!!!!! #COYG”

It was also confirmed last night that Sanchez will wear the #17 shirt for The Gunners.
