The draw for the fourth round of the League Cup (the EFL Cup this season) has been made with us among those finding out who we will come up against in the last 16.

Round three was when the remaining Premier League clubs entered into the competition, having been given an extra rounds grace. After these ties some stayed in, others went straight out!

The ‘big boys’ that remain will continue to be a scalp for the so-called ‘smaller’ clubs.

Dreams of League Cup glory remain for some and as much as this competition isn’t as prestigious to many as it once was the chance to make it to Wembley in the aim of emulating Manchester City, who won this last season beating Liverpool in the final, is becoming a more realistic one now that we’re down to the last 16.

After the draw (just made on Sky Sports) it is now known who stand between us and a place in the quarter-finals and that one step closer to the national stadium to compete for what would be the domestic trophy of the season decided.

Fourth round draw in full.

Southampton v Sunderland
Newcastle v Preston
Leeds v Norwich
Bristol City v Hull
Liverpool v Tottenham
Arsenal v Reading
Man Utd v Man City
West Ham v Chelsea

These matches will be played across the week commencing 24th October.

Now the questions asked are, are you happy with the tie we’ve been given and are you optimistic of our chances of making it into round five?
