Arsenal’s big summer signing looks set to finally make his Premiership dubt this weekend when Arsenal travel up North for the first time this season to face Blackburn.

The Brazil born striker suffered an ankle injury only a couple of days before he was due to play for Arsenal against Fulham on the opening day of the season.

He also missed Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Sparta Prague in the Champions League qualifiers on Wednesday.

Arsene Wenger also confirmed that Denilson is ready to return to first team duties after recovering from a slight ankle injury.

Speaking to Arsenal TV Online Wenger said: ‘The players who come back available could be Denilson and Eduardo.’

The only down side is that there is a slight doubt on Manu Eboue’s fitness after he picked up a slight ankle injury during Arsenal’s win over Sparta Prague.

Wenger confirmed: ‘From last night we might have a little problem with Eboue, who is struggling a bit.’
