After suffering that horrific leg break early last year, Eduardo made what could possibly be the last step back to full fitness last night as he completed his first 90 minutes of football since the injury.

It’s been less than a year since that fateful day at St Andrews, and after seeing the graphic and disturbing images that littered the Internet and newspapers many thought that Dudu would never play again, never mind this quickly.

However Eddie completed 90 minutes of football last night as Arsenal reserves drew 2-2 at Stoke, and even had the ball in the net only for it to be ruled out for offside.

The clinical striker looked quite sharp when you consider the amount of time he has been out, finding himself in goal scoring positions that would have certainly seen him find the onion-bag had he had more match practise.

Eduardo’s performance was overshadowed a touch by an excellent performance from young Jack Wilshere that saw him score a Brady-esque stunner.
