Borussia Dortmund have confirmed they have held talks with Crazy German, Jens Lehmann.

The immortal goalkeeper has found himself out of favour for the North London giants after committing two quite criminal blunders in the early stages of the season, and after a series of mental outbursts seems set to leave the Arsenal.

Borussia’s managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke’In my view it was a very positive chat. Jens said he would think about (the offer), but also asked that he not be put under pressure to make a decision, which is fine by us.’

‘I don’t know when a decision will come, but I can say that we are cautiously optimistic about both the talks and the decision.’

The departure oh Lehmann will come as no great shock. The once great stopper is almost able to draw his pension, and outbursts aimed at Wenger and current number 1 Manuel Almunia have not gone down at all well.

While I think Lehmann should never play for Arsenal again, I will genuinely miss the old nutter, and am eternally grateful for some of the fantastic memories he has given to Arsenal fans.

Edit – It appears the move has broken down due to the crazy German’s crazy wage demands. He never fails to entertain.
