Fulham boss Chris Coleman says Arsenal are by far the toughest team to beat in the league, for him anyway.

In his time as Fulham gaffer he has only ever taken one point off the Gunners, and that was Dick Turpin stuff and since that day, Fulham have lost every game they have face against Arsenal.

“They have been my toughest opponents as a manager without a doubt.” Said Coleman

‘I`ve beaten Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool but Arsenal? Nothing.”

“We did snatch a 0-0 draw at Highbury in my first game there by playing on the counter-attack and I still don`t know how we got away with it. I was expecting to be arrested for robbery on the bus home because Edwin van der Sar made at least 20 outstanding saves.”

“But they`ve beaten us every time since and we`ve tried everything. We tried to play football and that didn`t work. We`ve tried to get stuck in and that didn`t work, and we`ve tried to stifle them and that didn`t work, either.”

I`ve always liked that Chris Coleman!!

  • I think on your day you play the most attractive football, just be interesting to see how long your ‘transation’ takes as you can’t afford to let other teams creep up on you as well, think it is going to start getting a little tighter at the top as new money is coming to several ‘big’ clubs.

  • Where is that trappy pr**k Cravens lately?? He has gone strangely quiet this week. If I see a bespectacled geek with a laptop tonight I’m going to ***** him on the off chance it is Cravens.

  • “I was expecting to be arrested for robbery on the bus home because Edwin van der Sar made at least 20 outstanding saves.” – Haha, gotta love this guy’s sense of humour.

  • Results aside, I’m glad he spoke of good things when it’s so much easier to criticize and take a swipe at the opposition.
