Champions League Temptation

Patrick Vieira has revealed it was the lure of winning the Champions League that fueled his move to Juventus.

‘I chose to sign for Juventus in order to win the Champions League,’ he told Eurocalcio.

‘It is a competition every player dreams of.

‘I was disappointed many times at Arsenal and Juve have been too.

‘Everybody is really focused on it here in Turin.

‘It would be a dream for me to lift the trophy at the Stade Denis in Paris where I became a world champion in 1998.’

Many fans would’ve prefered it if Vieira had held onto that dream and made it a reality for Arsenal.
