Trips to Bolton are never nice. A nasty stadium filled with niggley fans and dirty players, but this time Cesc says we’re ready for ’em

Fabregas believes Arsenal, and indeed himself are in better shape than they ever have been to face Bolton. Kevin Davies two-footed lunges and all.

‘It’s a big weekend for us, especially if we can get three points in a difficult stadium,’ he said on a webchat on www.arsenal.com.

‘Bolton is probably the most difficult stadium.

‘This year we are physically much stronger, we are playing so well and I think we can do something.

‘It is also important with Manchester United and Chelsea playing. This period of winter – December and January – is so important because there are so many games that you can be at the top in four or five games, so it is important to keep going because we are Arsenal.’

‘In the last two seasons, the Reebok is the stadium where I have personally suffered the most because they are going for the long balls, they put pressure on you, they are strong and big. Before I didn’t have the fitness for this kind of game, but this year I feel ready.’

‘The team looks good and I’m sure we can do something there and I’m looking forward to the game.’

‘I think Arsenal will win the Champions League. I think we can still win the league. This period is very important because we play every three days until January 5th so this is important and it will make the difference after January.’

‘Sometimes we like this kind of football. We are all technical players, we all have the quality to do it.But when we played against Reading we did the same thing and scored four goals and everybody was happy.’

‘I think there are a lot of situations in a game and you have to choose the one that makes a great footballer and one that makes you a good footballer.

‘I think we are doing it very well.’

‘The goals will come, but this year I have had so many chances that if I’d scored 30 percent maybe I could be around 10 goals now.

‘But I’m not upset about it. I know the first (league) goal will come soon and after that I will score more and more.’
