Petr Cech controversially signed for Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer in what is probably the signing of the season.

However initially the massive stopper made a couple of clangers in his first game that had Chelsea fans laughing their socks off …. not laughing now are they?

Since that day Petr has been an absolute rock in this Arsenal side, no longer are we overly worried at corners and set pieces, one on ones? No problem. Cech really is a piece of the puzzle we`ve been searching down the back of the couch for for years.

As well as cat-like reflexes Cech has brought a real leadership quality to this Arsenal line up, a father figure, someone for everyone to look up to and Petr has been unleashing the pearls of wisdom in the lead up to the big game against Man City tonight.

He said
“We go into the game very close in the table so if we win we will obviously open the gap between ourselves and City, but they can go two points ahead,”

“So it is a big game for both teams, because as long as Leicester keep winning you don`t want the gap to open up too much, you want to make sure that the moment they slip you are ready to take advantage.”

“All the little details in big games count. You can have a great game but get a little detail wrong and end up losing. It is as well a little bit about luck – you can hit the post three times and then you concede a deflected shot that you can`t do anything about.”

“But it is about little details. These types of games you win by team effort, so obviously all the individuals need to play well, but as a team you have a chance to get things right and to win the game.”
