Arsenal captain, William Gallas, says he’s loving the responsibility of wearing the armband for the Gunners.

Gallas was surprisingly handed the captaincy ahead of Gilberto at the start of the season, and has blossomed into a fantastic leader and indeed, defender.

‘Being captain at Arsenal, I am directly involved in some talks with the coach and the officials,’ he told France Football.

‘Before, I used to keep to myself. But I like those new responsibilities. I really have fun with the talks I have with Arsene Wenger. Would I like to become French team captain one day? Of course.’

Here’s hoping Gallas’ responsibilities extend to lifting a piece of silverware or two come May!
