Arsenal forward Joel Campbell has once again returned to Real Betis on a loan spell for the coming campaign.

I’m sure I saw quotes from the player saying he wanted to put an end to loan spells and really get his career going so I can only presume permanent interest wasn’t forthcoming and he knew his opportunities at Arsenal would again be limited, so this was the best chance of more regular game action.

He heads to the Spanish La Liga club for a second time, having first spent a spell with them back in 2012/13 where the Costa Rica international made 28 appearances, scoring twice.

Last season he spent the year out with Portuguese Primeira Liga side Sporting Lisbon, making 18 appearances and scoring three goals.

His time at Arsenal has seen him make 40 first team showings, with a return of four goals.

The loan spell is for the entirety of the 2017/18 campaign.
