Sky Sports News, and BBC Radio Five Live have, in the last few minutes, announced that an agreement has been reached for the transfer of one of the great explorers of our time, senor Jose Antonio Reyes, the famed philanthropist, a man with a truly ravenous appetite for new experiences, learning about new cultures ,and the only man at Arsenal to speak more languages than Arsene Wenger’s seven.

Reports surfacing indicate that Reyes is to sign a four year deal with the rojiblancos.

AND HERE’S THE BEST BIT (if it’s true…)

Apparently the fee is to be in the region of EUR12m (£8.1m)

Which is great news, as it’ll mean that we’ve lost as little as possible on the initial deal of £10m, and it’s one in the eye to the classless cashblob also residing in the city of Madrid, who do not think twice about tapping up players of other clubs.

Thank you Jose, I’d love to say it’s been a pleasure, but quite frankly, it’s been an increasingly drawn out, turgid affair that I am very glad to be shot of.

  • pity global warming was not enough for the lad 🙂 he could have been a great player. turned out a big cry baby. but all the same gud lck 4 d future

  • A shame that he didn’t work out. If he adapted his personality to the country and his game to the Premiership he could’ve become a consistent top performer. Alas, like Baptista, he looked like he wanted more time on the ball than there was, and didn’t appreciate our long, hot and dry summers.

  • Reyes was always an exciting player, shame it didn’t work out, I really wanted him to succeed at Arsenal, good luck Jose.

  • Strange to think that, in 3 years, he has won Premier League, FA Cup & La Liga medals given his lack of cojones. One we got wrong but good luck to him nonetheless.

  • Glad this saga is over, but sad for Jose that Real didn’t fight to keep him after he won them the la Liga, what with their resources. Real are really burning bridges with the way they’re conducting themselves. If they genuinely hope to snare Cesc anytime soon they’d have done better to be nice to us and splash the cash… not that they’ll get him anyway. Such pomposity.

  • Im just glad we got rid of the mummy’s boy, caravan dwelling little baby and not to those shysters at Real. If the price is correct then its a good thing all round.

  • You are certainly better off without him although his destination was a little surprising!

  • I will wave goodbye with thrtee hands for a naughty boy like Reyes. Go and go very fast boy.

  • you bought him for more than £10 mill so dont kid yourselves, nearer £20 mill, another inspired wenger buy!!!
