Bye Bye, Baby, Bye Bye…

Sky Sports News, and BBC Radio Five Live have, in the last few minutes, announced that an agreement has been reached for the transfer of one of the great explorers of our time, senor Jose Antonio Reyes, the famed philanthropist, a man with a truly ravenous appetite for new experiences, learning about new cultures ,and the only man at Arsenal to speak more languages than Arsene Wenger’s seven.

Reports surfacing indicate that Reyes is to sign a four year deal with the rojiblancos.

AND HERE’S THE BEST BIT (if it’s true…)

Apparently the fee is to be in the region of EUR12m (£8.1m)

Which is great news, as it’ll mean that we’ve lost as little as possible on the initial deal of £10m, and it’s one in the eye to the classless cashblob also residing in the city of Madrid, who do not think twice about tapping up players of other clubs.

Thank you Jose, I’d love to say it’s been a pleasure, but quite frankly, it’s been an increasingly drawn out, turgid affair that I am very glad to be shot of.
