Defender Hector Bellerin has said it was an amazing feeling to score his first Arsenal goal today against Aston Villa.

The Spaniard topped off the scoring earlier this evening when he grabbed the fifth and final goal in stoppage time to give us the comprehensive five nil victory at the Emirates, and speaking to the Official Site he was obviously a happy man come the full time whistle.

‘It was an amazing feeling. It’s my first professional goal so I’m really happy. Thanks to all my team mates, all the coaches and all the fans for the support they’ve given me. I’m really happy and really pleased for the team.’

He goes on to say that Arsenal have been working on their ‘free flowing football’ for a few seasons and he feels the team are now playing well on that score, showing they are learning and putting it into practice on the pitch – but importantly with a more solid defence.

‘I’m really happy and I want to continue in this dynamic because it’s really coming on.’

As manager Arsene Wenger had referenced with Alexis Sanchez being out, the high nature of the scoreline and our overall performance was better because we were missing the ever influential player, so Bellerin made his own comments about it showing the depth, strength and talent we have at the club to have covered his omission, because when he is fit and back with us we can only improve again hopefully.
