Full back Hector Bellerin has said he feels that the top four battle is there for Arsenal to take as long as we perform as we know we can in the remaining matches of the 2016/17 campaign.

With ten games remaining and Arsenal sitting in sixth place in the table seven points behind Manchester City but with a game in hand on them and ten games in total remaining for us to play, Bellerin told the Official Site in his own pre game press conference that everybody needed to be calm and if we stayed ‘together’ and were ‘positive’ in the season run in he saw no reason at all why we couldn’t secure Champions League football once again.

‘My message is just to remain calm. There are still loads of games to go. I understand that it can be frustrating not to be there at the moment but as I say, we just need to be together. The team, fans, everyone – the whole of Arsenal has to be together and be positive. Hopefully like that we can make it happen.’

Bellerin went on to say.

‘It`s also true that we have a few games in hand, we are a few games behind some of the teams on top of us. But we knew this year it was going to be very competitive. There were six or seven teams that were going to compete for the Champions League spots. We knew that it was going to get tough. It was going to be one of the hardest leagues probably in the last few years. We knew it could happen but we still have loads of games for us to recover and make it into the top four. I think it`s just ours for the taking.’

Taking victory over West Ham tonight would be the perfect start to show that it will happen with the games that remain and then we have to see whether it’s Manchester City or Chelsea who slip up as the league might not be as over as some believe this season.
