Following the 2-0 loss to Barcelona on Tuesday night the players have of course been obligated to speak to the media, and whilst every man/woman and his dog know the gig is all but up they have to say there is still a chance, otherwise what`s the point, right?

Former Barcelona youth player and current Arsenal awesomeness, Hector Bellerin says the players they`re going to hope for a result in the Nou Camp and that the gap between the sides isn`t as big as first thought.

He said

“We`re going to hope [for a result in the Nou Camp], we`ve shown that we are at the same level if we want to be because we play great football, defend well with a great solidarity and compactness.”

‘Even if it`s a different kind of game, we`ve shown that we`re up there and we can fight for it.

“We had more or less the same number of opportunities but the difference was just that they were efficient up front and we weren`t. Maybe they had a bit more luck. I think the team defended really well and we played really well but sometimes these things happen.

“We`ve shown that [the gap between the sides] is not that big. The team played some great football and at some point we thought we had the game in our sights.

‘Sometimes when you give them that one yard they can be very dangerous, a big threat and we know we paid for our mistakes.

“You have to give credit to them, though. When the other team scores a goal in football sometimes it can come from mistakes. Now we need to look at the game and see how we can make it better for us.”
