Publically the Arsenal stance is clear, Hector Bellerin isn’t for sale. The Spaniard is also insistent his focus is on the European U21 Championship finals, where he’s made the noble vow of pledging £50 to the Grenfell Tower victims for every minute he plays of Spain’s bid in Poland.

Privately Bellerin wants to leave Arsenal and has already purchased a house in Barcelona, according to SPORT.

Admittedly his family had already returned to Spain with that to be the case whatever happened with the right back, so I’m not sure how much the reported ‘buying of a property’ can be used as a given Bellerin’s mind is made up.

Should Arsenal allow Bellerin to return to Barcelona the Gunners could get Rafinha in return as the Brazilian is being offered up by Barca as a makeweight in the deal, reports Marca.

The reports claim Brazilian midfielder Rafinha, 24, is prepared to leave Barcelona and a move to Arsenal appeals to him as he’s looking for more first team football – having started just 14 La Liga games last season – to boost his chances of going to the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia.

Arsene Wenger used Bellerin in a wing-back role towards the end of last season when switching from his favoured formation to a 3-5-2 system, which would fit the versatile Rafinha as he is used to playing right wing back too.
