Julio Baptista has vowed to win a place in the first team, and the seal a permanent move to Arsenal, as long as the Gunners want to keep him.

The Beast scored his first Arsenal goal in a 3-1 win over Hamburg in the Champions League last week, and he’s says he enjoys English football.

‘It will depend on Arsenal as to whether I stay here beyond the season loan. If I have the opportunity to play regularly here and the club wants me to stay then it will be a matter of closing an agreement with Real Madrid.

‘I’d like to stay. But it is out of my hands right now. It depends on me as well because it depends on how I play.’ The Beast growled

‘Football is different here, it’s much faster. It is OK for me to feel the difference now, but I will adapt, I will improve, and I will start to play more.’

‘I like English football. It is not too difficult to play here actually. It is a physical football and very competitive but that is good for my own style.’
