Well it happens every year, just not usually a week ahead of the actual fixtures being released – but could Arsenal’s schedule for the 2016/17 already be in the public domain?

Well, a very official looking document is doing the rounds in the media and on social media and has been for the last day, and it contains everything you would expect to see in a fixture list – from individual club running orders to generic fixture date lists.

I won’t link it here – as that would of course take effort – but it could also be hugely unsubstantiated guff and could be a waste of everyone’s time.

A week to have it official also isn’t going to drive anybody that mental I wouldn’t have thought.

But for those it might I doubt it’ll take you more than 30 seconds on any well named search engine to find the full piece.

Suffice to say, it terms of whetting the appetite – these are said to be Saturday August 13th’s opening day fixtures.

Burnley v Manchester United
Everton v Bournemouth
Leicester v Sunderland
Manchester City v Stoke
Middlesbrough v Crystal Palace
Southampton v Chelsea
Tottenham Hotspur v Swansea
Watford v Arsenal
West Brom v Liverpool
West Ham v Hull

So all’s good so far – they are the teams in the top flight next season.

For Arsenal specifically, I won’t list them all – but if genuine.

13 – Watford A
20 – Leicester H
27 – Burnley A

3 – Crystal Palace A
10 – Manchester United H
17 – Tottenham Hotspur A
20 – Chelsea H
26 – Swansea H
31 – Bournemouth A

6 – Sunderland A
13 – Liverpool H
21 – Stoke A

Now let’s see if they tally come a week Wednesday!

And according to the Football League, commenting on the leak of their fixtures this weekend as well, it’s all a hoax and they won’t match – but I’m yet to see a Premiership response.
