Arsenal`s hopes of finishing in the top four come the end of the season were dealt a huge blow when they lost 3-1 at Anfield last weekend. Liverpool replaced them in the top four as a result of that superb win, and they now have the momentum to go on a run. Manchester United`s weak draw against a woeful Bournemouth side also really damaged their chances, and the bookmakers are now predicting that Arsenal and Man Utd will be the ones to miss out.

Chelsea have run away with the title, opening up what looks to be an unassailable 10-point lead with just 11 games to go, so the real intrigue is coming from who will join them in next season`s Champions League by finishing in the top four. There are five contenders – Man City, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd – and just three places, and it could go down to the wire thanks to the teams` inconsistent form. There are sure to be plenty more twists and turns between now and May, but right now fans of Spurs, City and Liverpool will be the happiest.

Review out the odds at bookmaker sportsbook and those teams are favoured in the run-in and are expected to win the majority of their games. The picture is looking bleaker for Arsenal, and also for Man Utd. Chelsea are 1/2000 to finish in the top four, which is understandable. Man City`s upturn in form since February has seen them made 1/8, and Spurs are 1/6 following an impressive run of results based on an impressive defensive record and the sensational goal scoring form of Harry Kane, who put Everton to the sword last time out with two well taken goals, which moved him to the top of the Premiership top scorer charts.

The bookies think those two are all but assured of joining Chelsea in the top four of the final table, and believe Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd will fight it out for the final spot. After the weekend`s action, Liverpool have the advantage. They are two points ahead of Arsenal and three ahead of Man Utd, but those two have a game in hand, so it is looking agonisingly tight. Liverpool are 4/7 fourth favourites to finish in the top four, Arsenal are 6/4 and Man Utd are 15/8, so the bookies heavily favour Liverpool now.

That is not to say that Tottenham or Man City are out of sight. Tottenham are just six points ahead of Arsenal and have played an extra game, for example. It could go either way, and there is no real value in betting on Tottenham or City at such low odds. It looks equally ill-advised to bet on Liverpool considering they have won just twice in 2017, albeit against Arsenal and Spurs.

The real value is on Arsenal at 6/4 or Man Utd at 15/8. Arsenal have never failed to finish in the top four during Arsene Wenger`s 20-year tenure, so that is a really interesting option. But Man Utd are unbeaten in the league since December and have made up a great number of points on their rivals, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in great goal scoring form. Right now they look a good bet to do it.
