Arsenal v Tottenham

Well, here it is, the final North London derby to be played at the famous Highbury stadium and the stakes have never been higher.

Arsenal host Spurs in what will be the most passionatley fought derby for years, but this isn’t just any old derby, this derby could mould the face of the future and for certain will decide who will finish 4th.

If (god forbid) the unwashed take all three points, then they will certainly finish 4th, with the Gunners needing a Tottenham loss and draw from their final two games, should the tie finish neck and neck, then the impetus would be with Spurs but the possibility of them drawing one of their final games (Bolton at home, West Ham away) is a decent one and with our far superior goal difference it could see us snatch the 4th spot, but if we win, then we could even afford to draw one of our final games and still be in good stead so when all said and done, this is one damn important game.

However, I get the feeling from Mr Wenger that he will be tempted to rest some of our players in his bid for Champion’s League glory, this could be a fatal mistake, we need to play a full strength team and not, as happened against Man Utd, rest our most influential player.

We as fans have been giving it large, each of the North London tribes trying to convince the other their team is the greater team, when in all honesty it’s probably ourselves we’ve been trying to convince, and anyone who claims to know the outcome of this match is either an idiot or a liar.

This game is huge, the biggest derby in history, and I for one have started my pre-match drinking already otherwise I would never cope.

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!

Arsene Says………….

‘Winning is the only option’

Arsenal Team News:

Sol Campbell and Ashley Cole both miss out. Wenger has suggested he may rotate the squad slightly, but your guess is as good as mine to who that could be.

Player to watch: Alex Hleb

(If playing) He could cause some real problems down the right, especially with Spurs’ injury troubles.

Tottenham Team News:

King & Jenas will definately be out, Davids and Teemu Tainio are major doubts, while Mido is too much of a porker to play.

Player to watch: Robbie Keane

It pains me to say that Keane has been on top form scoring 8 goals in his last 8 games.

NB: That statistic is just something I think I heard, under no circumstance do I have any real knowledge about the Tiny Totts.

Predicted Line Up

Lehmann
Eboue
Toure
Senderos
Flamini
Hleb
Gilberto
Diaby
Reyes
Adebayor
Henry

Next Fixture:

Champions League Semi Final 2nd Leg:
