A 25 man squad has been named by Arsene Wenger for Arsenal’s upcoming trip to Australia and China.

This pre-season tour will see the Gunners spend the next two weeks in Sydney, Shanghai and Beijing – the squad set off on Sunday.

In Australia Arsenal will face Sydney FC on Thursday 13th July and Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday 15th July.

Heading onto China, Arsenal will play Bayern Munich in Shanghai on Wednesday 19th July finishing the pre-season tour in Beijing when coming up again London rivals, Premier League champions, Chelsea on Saturday 22nd July.

This is the squad in full:

Petr Cech (GK)
Emi Martinez (GK)
David Ospina (GK)
Krystian Bielik
Cohen Bramall
Francis Coquelin
Mohamed Elneny
Olivier Giroud
Alex Iwobi
Sead Kolasinac
Laurent Koscielny
Alexandre Lacazette
Ainsley Maitland-Niles
Donyell Malen
Per Mertesacker
Nacho Monreal
Reiss Nelson
Eddie Nketiah
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Mesut Ozil
Aaron Ramsey
Theo Walcott
Danny Welbeck
Joe Willock
Granit Xhaka

Club record signing Alexandre Lacazette is included as are Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – yet to commit to new deals but under contract for another year.

The notable absentee is Alexis Sanchez. However, this doesn’t mean he’ll be leaving Arsenal – alternatively it doesn’t mean he’ll not – as an extended summer break was always expected following his exploits at the Confederations Cup with Chile.

Jack Wilshere’s also failed to travel as he battles back from a broken leg.

Meanwhile, another that isn’t in this travelling party – assuming he would have if not sold – is Kaylen Hinds.

The forward, 19, has left Arsenal to join Bundesliga side Wolfsburg on a permanent deal. He’ll link up with former Gunners academy boss Andries Jonker, who took charge of the German club recently.

During his time at the Emirates Stadium Kaylen was loaned to League Two club Stevenage, making 13 appearances last season, but hadn’t featured in the first team since signing professional in 2015.

‘We would all like to thank Kaylen for his contribution to the club and wish him a successful future,’ said the Official Website.
