Arsenal could be about to re-open the partnership with Belgium club Bevern, the club at which players such as Kolo Toure and Manu Eboue spent time before moving to Arsenal.

Arsenal struck a technical partnership with the club back in 2000 when Arsenal sent Kolo Toure there in order to gain permission to play in England.

It all came apart in June when the BBC twisted every word, rule and piece of grammer to try and suggest that Arsenal and more specifically, Arsene Wenger and key members of the Arsenal board had worked with a director at Bevern to make illegal payments to the club.

It turned out that the BBC had lied about virtually everything and Uefa, Fifa and the FA all declared that there was nothing to investigate within a week of hearing of it.

But now, the Bevern board want to revive the partnership. Speaking to a Blegium newspaper, Mr De Waele, a member of the Bevern board said: ‘On 2nd January we will go to London to see if we can loan players again.
