I just saw an update on the BBC live text page: ‘Newcastle should be confident after last week’s 5-1 hammering of rivals Sunderland, but they face an Arsenal side eager to keep in touch with league leaders Chelsea and determined to put their disappointing midweek Champions League defeat behind them. And what are the chances of Arsenal recording a fourth consecutive 3-0 home win over Newcastle? If that happens Magpies manager Chris Hughton could again face the kind of pressure that came after the 4-0 Carling Cup loss to the Gunners.’

Another 3-0 scoreline? I don’t think so. There’s a lot of pace and quality in that Newcastle line-up. Learning from the midweek game against Shakhtar Donetsk, history goes out of the window and complacency is one of our biggest bad habits to get rid of. But looking at what the boss is able to put out today, I`m reasonably confident in our team.
