Arsenal In Bendtner Contract Talks

Promising Arsenal striker, Nicklas Bendtner is currently in contract talks with the club over a new deal.

Bendtner who is currently on loan at Birmingham has been linked with moves abroad and to Celtic & Rangers. However the players agent says there’s no chance of him moving away and will fight for a place at Arsenal.

Thomas Bendtner said: ‘There is a lot of interest in him in Britain and elsewhere. But the current situation is that we are talking with Arsenal about a new contract and we expect to agree something within the next few weeks.

‘He has been told he will be staying with Arsenal next season and will be expected to fight for his first-team place. We are delighted by that and we are confident that he can be a success there.’

The astute readers will have noticed Bendtner’s agent is of the same surname, well his father is going to have his best interests at heart isn’t he?!
