Calum Chambers and Rob Holding have been named in the England Under 21 squad for their coming European Championship qualifiers in the October international window.

England currently sit at the top of Group 9, clear by two points ahead of second placed Switzerland and the following 22 man strong squad has been selected for their games against Kazakhstan and Bosnia and Herzegovina next month.

Chambers is obviously on loan out at Middlesbrough and the Riverside Stadium.

Goalkeepers:
Jonathan Mitchell (Derby County), Jordan Pickford (Sunderland), Freddie Woodman (Newcastle United).

Defenders:
Calum Chambers (Middlesbrough, loan from Arsenal), Ben Chilwell (Leicester City), Brendan Galloway (West Bromwich Albion, loan from Everton), Rob Holding (Arsenal), Mason Holgate (Everton), Dominic Iorfa (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Matt Targett (Southampton).

Midfielders:
Lewis Baker (Vitesse Arnhem, loan from Chelsea), Nathaniel Chalobah (Chelsea), Isaac Hayden (Newcastle United), Will Hughes (Derby County), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea), John Swift (Reading), James Ward-Prowse (Southampton).

Forwards:
Tammy Abraham (Bristol City, loan from Chelsea), Demarai Gray (Leicester City), Jack Grealish (Aston Villa), Nathan Redmond (Southampton), Duncan Watmore (Sunderland).

They face Kazakhstan in Aktobe on Thursday October 6 before hosting Bosnia and Herzegovina at Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium on Tuesday October 11.

With the departure of Sam Allardyce from the senior squad, Under 21 boss Gareth Southgate has stepped up to that role, and Under 20 gaffer Aidy Boothroyd with be in charge for these matches.
