Arsenal youngster Joe O’Cearuill has joined Brighton and Hove Albion on a one-month loan deal.

Arsenal signed the young defender in the summer after having him on loan from Watford for the second half of last season.

O’Cearuill, 19, started his career at Leyton Orient but he failed to impress as a trainee and he was released. Watford took him on the same summer but the young Englishman (that`ll please Pardew) only spent half the season there before Arsene Wenger brought him to Arsenal.

Released by Watford in the summer of 2006, his career seemed like it was down in the gutter when Arsenal snapped him up. He has gone on to establish himself as a regular in Neil Banfield`s reserves this season.

Joe is fast, well built and strong in the tackle.

Arsenal have given him permission to play in cup games so he could make his debut against Premiership side West Ham at the weekend.
