Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has refused to ‘deny or confirm’ anything when questioned about speculation he could replace Arsene Wenger in the summer.

Wenger’s contract – as if we didn’t know – is up at Arsenal at the end of the season with his future with the Gunners in doubt. There also appears to be a split among the fans if he should remain at the Emirates Stadium.

Asked about the reports he was in ‘advanced talks’ with Arsenal about becoming the new Gunners boss Allegri said his only focus at the moment was on winning with Juventus this season.

Questioned about the rumours on Wednesday – as Juventus moved closer to another Italian title – Allegri was quoted by Metro as saying.

‘I won`t deny or confirm anything. I am in sync with the club, now we have to focus on winning. At this time of the season the media always says I`m leaving, even when things are going really well.’

Allegri is apparently on the short-list of options to replace Wenger – if he decides to step down – that includes Ralph Hasenhuttl, Thomas Tuchel and Eddie Howe.
