It’s being reported today that Manchester City’s Director of Football Txiki Begiristain was in London last weekend to talk to Alexis Sanchez and Tottenham’s Kyle Walker.

Goal report that City are now confident of capturing both following these chats, but of course no sources are named.

It’s said that Bayern Munich are also in for Alexis but having spent big already this summer with the capture of Bernardo Silva for £43million, they are on the verge of signing Benfica goalkeeper Ederson and Begiristain travelled to London after closing the Silva deal.

It’s long been rumoured that Alexis wants to team up with Pep Guardiola and he may now have his chance.

With Arsene Wenger now confirmed as manager for the coming season with his new two year deal, we’ll soon know whether there’s any truth to this with contract talks stalled with players until the end of the season – namely Mesut Ozil and Alexis himself.

If a quick deal isn’t agreed it could well be time to say goodbye to him and that would only increase the pressure on signings ahead of next season.
