Emmanuel Adebayor has been named as Togo’s foreign-based Player of the Year.

This is the second season on the spin the big centre forward has scooped the award, and well deserved it is too.

I’m not entirely sure there is too much competition for Ade for this award, but still well deserved nevertheless.

Adebayor moved to Arsenal 12 months ago and is in sizzling form of late, netting three times in his last four games and putting in a string of sterling performances that now see’s his name the first from the Ashburton Grove faithful’s lips on match days.

Manu is also the Togolese top striker, finishing top scorer in the world cup qualifiers for the African section and put in a few decent performances in the competition proper.

Top stuff.
