Activity Today?

In the wake of our five-nil thrashing of Aston Villa on Sunday Arsene Wenger refused to ‘rule out’ deadline day activity, but said it was ‘unlikely’, then again ‘if the right offer comes up’ you never know.

Morgan Schneiderlin’s name isn’t going away in connection with a move to Arsenal is it? A fee has reportedly been agreed, according to French paper L’Equipe, with Southampton for him to come to the Grove for £15m

This deal will go through in the summer though, and not today! We’ll see about that….

Another player that’s constantly been linked with Arsenal is Winston Reid but the Mirror says that he’ll be going to North London rivals Tottenham in the summer on a free, having been offered £60k per week to sign from West Ham, who are asking £7m for him to leave today – the arrival of Gabriel Paulista meant that Reid wasn’t required any long anyway.

We’ve quietly gone about our business this month making additions here and there with the present, and future in mind, will we do anything else today?

We’ve done it late on deadline day before and you could always do with more but if we end the day as we started not too many would be surprised would they – arguably more so if we did dip into the market again today, Schneiderlin could arrive in the summer though….
