Another victory, another 3 points, and moving ever so slightly up the league.

Are we starting to feel better now?

The last 6 months have been nothing short of hideous. Losing games, players and confidence by the bucket load. We, as a club, were rocking, sapped of all confidence our moral was about as low as I remember it in my life. I seriously couldn`t see how we were going to get out of the slump.

However, even though I wouldn`t consider us out of the sh*t just yet, we`ve slowly but surely started playing ourselves back into the season. We have now won 6 of the last 7 games in all competitions and things are looking up.

I haven`t seen any of the match today so don`t know how good/bad the performance was, but a 3-1 win against Stoke is a great win in anyone`s book.

Then all you have to do is cast an eye to Old Trafford this afternoon. We were all suicidal after our 8-2 spanking at the Theatre of Nightmares, convinced that that was how far we`d sunk, but on reflection an away 8-2 loss at the home of the Champions with our weakest side in years is not as bad as United getting whooped at home with their strongest team against their neighbours.

It shows that in this league anyone can give anyone a damn good stuffing on their day.

As we head towards our historically toughest month of November, we find ourselves in 7th position a mere 3 points behind Liverpool.

Things are looking up eh?
