Report: Arsenal looking to make offer for January transfer target as they revisit deal

|

Arsenal will make an offer for Norwich City’s Emiliano Buendia in the summer transfer window, according to Eurosport.

The Gunners are looking to revisit a deal for the Argentine midfielder, who they were heavily linked with back during the January transfer window.

Buendia has enjoyed a brilliant season with the Canaries, scoring 10 goals and assisting a further 12 as Daniel Farke’s men sit top of the Championship.

Revisiting a transfer like Buendia would be incredibly stupid especially after the promise shown by youngsters like Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka across the attacking trio behind the striker.

The youngsters have shown that they can carry the weight of responsibility required ever since the storming win over Chelsea back in December.

Smith Rowe has gone on to string the attack together with his ability on the ball, meanwhile, Saka has shown that he can perform in any which position he plays in what has proven to be a staggering start to his professional career.

Whilst Buendia does have the skillset and talent to thrive under Mikel Arteta, he would also stunt the progress of the youngster stars, who have shown they deserve the Spaniard’s trust.

And with Martin Odegaard having proven successful thus far in his time with the Gunners, you’d think Arteta would opt to sign the Norwegian on a permanent transfer rather than Buendia, who is likely to be more expensive.

Smart transfers should be the order of the summer in north London. Buendia would be a pretty foolish transfer for a number of reasons especially with better options already at the club.
