‘They are way off it’: Harry Redknapp urges Arsenal to target £45m-rated PL attacker

Arsenal have been urged to break the bank for Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish by duo Harry Redknapp and Piers Morgan.

The Gunners are in a desperate search for a creative force in the current transfer market with David Ornstein having claimed that the club are trying to sign an attacking midfielder

In Redknapp’s podcast, the former Tottenham Hotspur manager has claimed that the England international needs to move to a bigger club.

Redknapp said: “I think [Arsenal] have to spend. They are way off it, at the moment. They need to bring a bit of quality. Arsenal is a massive football club – take a Grealish. He needs to play at the bigger club.” (via Harry Redknapp)

Yes

No

For Arsenal to get to the next level, alongside the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool, Grealish will need to be a serious transfer. However, given the club’s current plight there is no chance Grealish makes it to the Emirates Stadium any time soon.

There are far more attractive teams in England that will appeal to the £45m-rated Villa attacker than the Gunners at this moment in time.

However, the biggest concern right now for the north London giants is whether they are able to even afford the potential asking price. Grealish recently signed a new contract with the Midlands outfit that will keep him at Villa Park until 2025. It’s a move that protected the value of the ace, compared to say someone like Mesut Ozil, who is on the verge of leaving the Gunners on a free transfer next summer.

With no Champions League football for the last four years, and the club off the pace for a top-four place this season, there seems to be no hope that the Reds can complete a move for Grealish.
