Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is interested in bringing both Houssem Aouar and Isco to the club in the January transfer window, according to Defensa Central.
The Spanish publication are claiming that the former Manchester City coach wants to bring both midfielders to the club next month. However, it is being claimed that the side hasn’t got the funds to sign both players on a permanent deal.
It is thought that Isco is struggling to attract much interest for his signature because he is insistent on receiving his entire salary.

Signing both players would really be killing two birds with one stone.
The centre of midfield is currently lacking many unique options especially with Thomas Partey’s injury and Granit Xhaka’s suspension.
The Swiss player has also proven to be incredibly limited when playing this season with Jamie Redknapp and Gary Neville voicing their thoughts on the ace. However, if we’re honest with ourselves, both Mohamed Elneny and Dani Ceballos can only perform both the defensive and attacking sides of the game respectively, showing their limitations.
Aouar has shown he is a well-rounded player, showing off his supreme talent during Lyon’s Champions League quarter-final victory over Manchester City last season.
Further forward, creative issues have been popping up all season long with goals barely flowing in the final third. Yesterday’s strike for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the side’s second goal in their last six games in the Premier League.
Isco has been a supreme creator for the Spanish outfit during his spell in Madrid as seen by his four Champions League victories.
Signing both would be greedy, however, if the opportunity arises, why not? Fixing two problem positions with signings in January lifts some of the pressure on what is proving to be an average squad.
