Olivier Giroud is often a source of much discussion amongst Arsenal as to whether his talents as a goal scorer are sufficient for a team like Arsenal who harbour ambitions of winning the Premier League and challenging for the Champions League.

It is true that the French striker hasn`t always been the most prolific of front-men in the history of the club and his style isn`t the slick and explosive as that of a Sergio Auguero, Luis Suarez or Thierry Henry, however even though part of this season Giroud was bench after suffering a crisis of confidence, the dreamy tattooed striker is one of the most prolific goal scorers of 2015.

Giroud has bagged himself an impressive 27 goals already this year with 14 so far this season (with another 3 games to go before the new year). He has also proved himself to be an important factor in Arsenal`s impressive away form with a whopping 17 goals coming in matches away from home.

If that wasn`t enough Olivier is also a big game player with strikes against Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool, Bayern Munich (and Leicester), not to mention goal in the FA Cup final and a hat-trick against Olympiacos to save our Champions League hides last week.

It was only a couple of short months ago that Giroud was on the outside looking in as Theo Walcott occupied the starting role in the Arsenal starting XI, now it`s very difficult to see how you could leave the big man out.
